Feasibility Studies | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The need for the preparation of a feasibility study, either for a new fish farm project, or for the expansion of an existing one is often overlooked or at best given only brief attention. Often the cause for this neglect is the unduly high fee rate charged by some consultants. The study, which would normally follow the Site Evaluation, would be prepared in our offices in the United Kingdom, and would include a description of the proposed project complete with budget capital costs. Operating costs in the form of cash flow forecasts would be established and these would clearly demonstrate the range of trading options. The following general report headings provide an indication of the scope of the study.

The study would also assess the existing and future market trends, establish a business strategy and implementation plan, consider staff and operating schedules and analyse the financial implications. The report would enable the Client to make a clear decision on the implementation of the project, and where appropriate would contain maps, plans and photographs, and would be presented as a confidential document. The study would also be essential if applying for financial assistance, grants or loans etc.
