Round Tanks

Our standard range of round tanks can be supplied in either modular Glass Reinforced Cement (GRC) or Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) panels.

GRC is a moulded composite made up from hydraulic cement, fine silica sand and alkali resistant glass reinforcement. No ferrous reinforcement is incorporated, thus eliminating internal corrosion problems, and providing a very durable high quality tank in panel form that can be relocated easily if required. In spite of the construction material the panels are light and easy to handle and the smoothness of the internal surface is of a very high quality indeed. A unique feature of all our GRC constructed tanks is that each panel incorporates a 50mm thick core of rigid polyurethane foam insulation. This has the benefit of preventing heat loss through the walls, and if combined with an insulated base slab can offer significant improvements in temperature stability, particularly in water recirculation systems.

GRP, or fibreglass, is a very strong and light composite of polyester fibres and resin that combine to give a smooth moulded surface that is both durable and easy to handle.

The tank kits are provided complete with all sealants and steel work, in either hot dipped galvanised or 316 grade stainless steel as appropriate and are supplied as 'walls only' suitable for installation on a concrete base to be provided by others, or, in the case of smaller tanks, complete with base..

Optional extras include inlet pipework, a range of discharge screens and external shrouded discharge standpipes with adjustable tank level control. Full details of available dimensions and specifications for both the GRC and GRP tanks are shown on our Round Tank Technical Data Sheets
